    Fill your days with numerous outdoor activities.  5-parcels to the east starts 640-acres of public State Trust Land (STL) specifically known as Cody Park.  During open hunting season within Cody Park STL you can hunt mountain lion, bear, deer, elk, pronghorn, turkey and other small game.  M-Path is a legal easement so you can walk along the southern border of the adjacent properties to access the STL land. 

     

    Within 26 miles are two popular reservoirs, Deweese Reservoir and Balman Reservoir.  In the summer, at Deweese Reservoir you can enjoy recreational watersports such as paddle boarding or kayaking and in the winter the reservoir is a popular ice fishing destination.  There are numerous hiking trails within the surrounding peaks and mountains including Curley Peak, Cottonwood Peak, Rainbow Lakes Trailhead, Canyon Rim Trail Head, Pinnacle Rock and Hunts Lake Trail to name a few. 

     

    Copper Gulch Road 27A is 2.1 miles from the property and will route you to both Cotopaxi and Westcliff where you can make a store run or enjoy what these quaint towns have to offer.  Cotopaxi and Westcliff both have companies that offer guided hunting tours for elk and deer.  The Arkansas River runs through Texas Creek just 10 miles north off Highway 50. Texas Creek is also home to Texas Creek OHV area hosting dispersed camping locations and miles of trails to enjoy with your OHV, Journey Quest Texas Creek Rafting Office has guided rafting tours on the Arkansas River and Play Dirty ATV Tours offers guided ATV and Side-by-Side tours to explore a wide range of trails for beginners and advanced riders.
